About the event
Summer may be halfway over, but that doesn't mean it's too late to garden! Get a head start on your fall garden and learn how to start seeds using soil blocks during this two-hour long workshop. Soil blocks are an environmentally friendly, plastic-free way to start seeds at home. In this workshop, you will learn how to prepare soil mix, fill the blockers, and create blocks that can be used to start broccoli, cabbage, kale, fennel, and other fall garden favorites. Each participant will take home a tray of 24 soil blocks with your choice of plant seeds. In addition, enjoy a tour of our greenhouses and refreshments.
Kids are welcome! Please be aware that 1 ticket = 1 tray of soil blocks. If you and your child would like to work together on the same tray, you only need to register for 1 ticket - please indicate how many kids you will be bringing in the "comments" section of your registration form. If you would each like to do your own tray, you will need to purchase multiple tickets. Thanks!
